Gator Showcase Canceled Due to Weather

I'm sorry everyone but we are going to have to cancel the Gator Showcase for this season. We have been working frantically this morning trying to find a way to make things work for this weekend, but all of the fields in the area have been officially closed. We hate to have to do this (we have never had to cancel before), but it is no longer under our control. The rain was supposed to have stopped by now, but it has stalled on top of us and just continues to pour. The new forecast calls for a 100% chance of rain through 6:00 tonight and a 75% chance until midnight. The powers that be believe that the fields will be damaged beyond repair if we try to play at all this weekend and have told us to cancel.

We will be sending out an email to all of the area hotels asking them to refund all deposits and allow you to cancel your rooms. If you have trouble with a hotel letting you out of your rooms for this weekend, please let me know and I will speak with them.

We will be sending out refund checks. Please email me and let me know who to make the check out to and where to send it.

We will be mailing all of the preordered tshirts to the teams that ordered them.

I know that this is a mainconvenienceence for everyone involved. We have teams coming from as far away as Massachusetts and getting hotels and airlines to cancel reservations is a nightmare. Please know that we did everything possible to make things work for this season.
