TV20 Scholar Athlete James Davis
by Angelo Caruso
James Davis isn't
one to flaunt his intelligence, but for the Eastside senior soccer
player, the smarts in the classroom carry over to the soccer field.

the top Rams players with 12 goals and seven assists. He also runs
in cross country and track, but would love nothing more than to finish
his soccer career with pushing Eastside past the regional quarterfinals
for the first time in his four years as a varsity player. see

Tip
Help your players set and meet a "Just-Right Challenge." It's "Just-Right" because
it is neither too easy nor too hard to achieve. Often this is as
simple as asking players, "How many do you think you can do?" rather
than telling them. listen

But what lessons exactly do we hope they will learn? As the Fall 2011 season
comes to a close this month for many youth sports athletes, the team at Responsible
Sports together with the experts at Positive Coaching Alliance, offer a Life
Lessons Checklist. Have your athletes learned these life lessons this season? continue
